Last year, I had the pleasure of working with Kristi as she planned for her October wedding. Our conversation began when Kristi inquired about boutonnieres. As she further explained her vision for the event, our project grew into a complete wedding package that would include all of the ceremony flowers -- including the bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages for the bridal party and family.
It was lovely to discuss the details with Kristi! Her creativity and thoughtfulness gave each arrangement a personal touch, making the finished pieces feel even more meaningful. We covered every aspect together; from the selection of flowers and greenery all of the way to the stem wraps. The colorful autumn toned blooms she chose included orange roses and mini calla lilies, plum tulips, hydrangea, and mini calla lilies, yellow craspedia, magenta sweet peas, along with miniature green fern and plum eucalyptus. When Kristi mentioned that acorns were especially significant to the couple, I jumped at the chance to incorporate them into the bridal bouquet and groom's boutonniere. To continue the rustic meets refined look of the event, natural burlap and raffia stem wraps, with an overlay of lace for the ladies, were the perfect choice.
Recently, I was thrilled to receive a sweet note from Kristi & Brad that included photos from their enchanting wedding in the mountains of Tennessee. Thanks to their talented photographer Tia Thomas, of Sweet T Photography, I am also able to share them with you.
One of the sweetest brides I have worked with, Kristi.
Kristi's Bouquet: Orange roses and mini calla lilies, plum tulips, hydrangea, and mini
calla lilies, yellow craspedia, magenta sweet peas, miniature
green fern, plum eucalyptus, and acorns, wrapped with burlap and lace.
Brad's Boutonniere: A single plum calla lily accented with yellow caapedia, miniature fern, plum eucalyptus, and acorns, wrapped with raffia.
The Bridal & Bridesmaid Bouquets: Kristi added decorative brooches to each of the stem wraps to make them extra special.
Kristi's sister was the Matron of Honor. Her bouquet is shown above.
The Groomsmen and Family Boutonnieres: Yellow craspedia accented with mini sedum succlents, plum eucalyptus, and wrapped with raffia.
Corsages for the Family: Plum calla lilies accented with yellow craspedia, mini fern, plum eucalyptus, burlap and lace.
It was a beautiful fall day for the outdoor ceremony.

Being able to work so closely with Kristi made this project feel like a partnership and a true collaboration -- the completion of which was bittersweet. It was a wonderful experience and one that I will always remember fondly.
Congratulations Kristi and Brad! I feel so fortunate to have worked with you.
Wishing you much happiness and love!

Christina- I shared this blog post on my FB when you shared with me. I’ve tried posting comments here, but they disappeared. Many many miles apart, and taking the leap to purchase such an integral part of my wedding online from a stranger was so out of my character! But it was, by far, the best decision I made! You’re so kind, thoughtful and talented! My bridesmades didn’t even realize the flowers weren’t alive until after the wedding because you use such high quality “real feel” flowers. You made us feel so comfortable by sending me frequent pictures of everything you did, from selecting the flowers to arranging them and adding the finishing touches. I get to look at my flowers and brad’s boutonniรจre everyday, as we have them on shelves in our bedroom beside our marriage certificate. I glued acorns we collected on our first date around the frame for our certificate . When we renew our vows- somewhere tropical- I’ll be coming to you for another lovely collaboration. Just like the first collaboration which lead to a lovely friendship! In the meantime, I’ll make sure every bride-to-be knows about you and my exceptional experience. Thank you again. You exceeded our expectations!! Xoxo! ๐๐๐
ReplyDeletePS- My Maid of Honor, Misty, caught the throw bouquet. You must have added a touch of good luck to it!! On New Years Eve, her boyfriend of many years popped the question!! We will be having a winter wedding in Knoxville in December....and of course she has your information. I want her experience to be as wonderful as ours!! ๐๐๐ฐ❄️☃️๐
DeleteThank you so much for this, Kristi! It means the world to me! I think of you often and I am grateful for the entire experience. It is one that I will always remember. I sincerely look forward to our next project!! Christina xx
