Congratulations Katie and Drew

Last year, I was fortunate to work with Katie and Drew as they planned their autumn wedding. When this sweet couple inquired about custom floral arrangements, I was immediately impressed and inspired by the gorgeous color palette they had chosen. The vibrant shades of teal, rose, burnt orange, amber, and ivory modernized a traditional fall color scheme and everything came together in a way that has left a lasting impression on me as a designer.

Katie was first attracted to one of my signature bouquets (The Sundance Bouquet) which includes a mixture of traditional fall colors. As we exchanged color samples and discussed ways to personalize the arrangements, a perfect solution arose -- omitting all of the burgundy accents and replacing them with a lovely shade of dusty rose. We also decided to incorporate a touch of teal in the form of sweet pea flowers. For Katie's bouquet and crown, a deep teal that would stand out against the rest of the flowers. For the bridesmaids, a pale aqua tone that would contrast from the deep teal color of their dresses. The addition of rose and teal brightened the overall look of the bouquets and gave a completely fresh feeling to each. Further proof that time spent collaborating with couples truly makes every floral arrangement special and memorable!

A few weeks ago, Katie and Drew were kind enough to share their amazing wedding photos with me. Thanks to their talented photographers from The Film Perspective (located in St. Louis), I am also able to share them with you.

Katie and Drew

Katie's Bouquet: Dahlias, roses, sweet peas, hydrangea, and gypsophila, accented with both green and autumn leaves, wrapped with teal satin.

Katie's Crown: A blend of sweet peas, hydrangea blossoms, and gypsophila accented with rose leaves and wrapped with smooth teal satin.

I'm in love with these colors -- they remind me of a beautiful stained glass window.

Beautiful Moments from the Ceremony

The Bridal Party

The Bridesmaid Bouquets: Roses, dahlias, hyrangea, sweet peas, and gypsophila accented with autumn leaves, wrapped with teal satin.

Reception Decor: Open roses, lilies, wisteria, hydrangea, sweet pea, and gypsophila accented with grape ivy.
I was thrilled with Katie and Drew asked me to design two custom wine barrel arrangements for the reception. They decided on shades of orange from peach to amber to burnt orange. It felt like a bonus getting to design a few extra pieces for them!

 The Newlyweds

I had such a brilliant time working with Katie and Drew. Exchanging ideas and discussing all of the details was a joy for me. Wishing you both a lifetime of love and laughter!

Special thanks to the Turners for sharing their day with me and The Film Perspecitve for generously providing so many beautiful images for this post!
